My favorite activity in spring is going flower shopping. It wasn’t always like this. Prior to owning a house, I wouldn’t come within 10 feet of a garden or a home improvement center. But after purchasing our first home, we thought we’d give gardening and landscaping a try. Needless to say, I’m like a kid in a candy shop when it comes to buying flowers for my garden. We went to our usual place in Glenview. Lot’s of beautiful things to see.
Prices on outdoor decor is pretty steep so we tend to just go for the flowers. Having a landscaper discount helps a ton!
Sometimes you’ll find an arrangement already assembled, such as this one.
We were referred to another center which we thought we would try. At first it didn’t look like a big deal, but once inside, I could tell there were lots more options.
Endless rows of flowers and plants! We were out all day. I’ll post a pic of one of the arrangements I put together. All in all, lots of walking around, many opinions from me and Dear Husband, but it turned out to be a good experience.
These shoes are a must-wear! Sketchers gifted to me by my BFF!!! So comfy!
UPDATE: Here’s the finished product. The garden on the side needs a few more plants, but it will soon be complete. Although the first one was edited by Google Auto-Awesome, the planter was dirty. Oh well…
